Hi, I’m Qingzhou. I made FocusX for myself first — and for anyone who needs the same thing.
On the way to any goal there are countless tasks, side quests and last-minute favors. People don’t really multitask; we switch, and lose a little each time. I wanted something that anchors me to the present and asks only one question: what am I doing right now?
So I set a goal, break it into projects, and fill them with tasks. The week and month views show what’s coming. Then everything else gets cleared away, and I do the one thing in front of me.
One detail I love: every task you finish becomes a star in that day’s sky. Proof that you tried.
And because the phone is the biggest distraction of all — I’ve lost count of the times I picked it up and ended up scrolling — you can put your current task on widgets, your wallpaper, a Live Activity and notifications. They pull you back.

Is FocusX free?
Yes. The core app — Now, planning, goals and stars — is free for up to 100 tasks. FocusX Plus adds unlimited tasks, widgets, Live Activities, the self-updating wallpaper and iCloud sync.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Your goals and tasks stay on your iPhone; with Plus they can sync through your own private iCloud.
How is this different from a to-do list?
A to-do list shows you everything. FocusX shows you one thing. Planning happens in the week and month views; doing happens on a single screen with a single task.
What happens to tasks I don’t finish?
Nothing dramatic. Unfinished tasks from this week move into This Week and keep their original date. Older ones wait in Later until you bring them back.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
Can I cancel Plus?
Any time, in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase with nothing to renew.
